Laminate & LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) Flooring

Laminate Flooring
Consists of a wear layer, photographic layer, and fiberboard core, typically with a click-lock installation system. It offers strong scratch resistance and closely mimics the look of real hardwood. Pros: highly scratch-resistant, durable, often more affordable than high-end vinyl, with a realistic, warm feel. Cons: not fully waterproof, so it can swell from spills or moisture, and can sound hollow underfoot.

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Flooring
Constructed from PVC plastic, this flooring is generally waterproof, flexible, and softer underfoot. It’s durable, handles temperature changes well, and installs via click-lock or glue-down. Pros: completely waterproof (great for bathrooms and kitchens), highly impact-durable, and quieter than laminate. Cons: can dent under heavy furniture, and lower-end products may feel a bit plasticky.
